Calendrier Républicain

 

A short-lived but radical idea, the French Republic sought to reform the passing of time itself in the Year I (1792). Each year comprises twelve months of exactly 30 days, each month has exactly three weeks of ten days, and each day is dedicated to a specific crop or animal that sustains the French people.
